Many
times, people set password for their memory card for security reasons.
This can be done from phone itself by using memory card application
and going through Options >> Set Password.
But what if in case you forget your password?
Then you may need to format it in order to use your memory card. But
suppose you have some crucial data stored in your memory card and you
don't want to loose it at any cost. Then What?!
Here is the solution for Nokia s60 1st and 2nd edition handsets.
Follow these steps:
Step 1: Download FXplorer application for your mobile from here and install it.
Step 2: Now launch FXplorer from your phone and move to C:\system folder. In this folder, you will find a file named "mmcstore".
Step 3: Rename this file to "mmstore.txt" and then open it. You will find your password at the end of the file.
It works with s60 phones with 1st or 2nd edition. With s60 3rd
or new, This trick may not work. So, only way you are left with is to
format your memory card if you are using s60 3rd edition handsets. But
you will loose all your data by formatting it. :(
